Waterway transport, road haulage, rail freight: our team at Baumann K3 Logistik is focused on intermodal freight transport by ship, road, and rail. We freight forwarding experts are seated in Duisburg, at the heart of Europe’s biggest inland harbour.
Following the establishment of Baumann K3 Logistik in 2004, the business was initially managed in Bonn, at the headquarters of the freight forwarding company Baumann. After only 14 months, K3 Logistik was looking to relocate to Duisburg.
In the search for a catchy and easily remembered company name, the company founders quickly came to an agreement on the simple designation K3. The K stands for the German word “Kombination” (combination) and the number 3 for the three main modes of transporting mass goods.
The inclusion of the name Baumann shows the close ties to the experienced freight forwarding company Baumann. The company’s declared objective is intermodal transport, combining the various transport modes to provide problem-free freight forwarding services. |
